The Atwell Planter (XL)
Inspired by the jagged spire of Atwell Peak and the swirling wind of the Sea-to-Sky corridor, the XL Atwell Planter is a monumental exploration of parametric geometry. Standing at nearly four feet tall, its continuous spiral mimics the natural torque of alpine winds and the fluid carving of glacial rivers, creating a high-design statement piece that commands attention from every vantage point.
Designed for those who demand the intersection of mathematical precision and organic form, the XL Atwell is engineered to anchor expansive spaces—from soaring glass-walled foyers to rugged, high-exposure mountain terraces.
Why You’ll Love It
Monolithic Scale: With a 33.9" profile and an 80lb footprint, the XL Atwell provides the visual weight and physical stability required for high-traffic commercial environments and grand-scale residential landscapes.
Industrial-Grade Composition: 3D-printed from a specialized PETG-GF (Glass-Fiber reinforced) polymer sourced from Victoria, BC, and made just for PROTOTYPE.
Environmental Resilience: Engineered for the extremes of the Pacific Northwest. The material is chemically treated for maximum UV stability and thermal resistance, ensuring the satin finish and structural integrity remain uncompromised by coastal humidity or sub-zero alpine temperatures.
Sculptural Shadow-Play: The deep, twisting ridges are designed to interact with architectural lighting. As the sun moves or interior spotlights shift, the planter "performs," creating a rhythmic interplay of light and shadow.
Hyper-Local Heritage: Proudly printed one-at-a-time in our Squamish, BC studio. This is a zero-waste, low-carbon alternative to imported concrete or stone vessels.
